Ali Pereira is an artist, performer and activist based in Porto, working under the framework of A_political body. The practice develops at the intersection of performance art, artivism and cultural facilitation.

The body — corpo, corpa, corpe — is the primary instrument and site of inquiry. Drawing on Donna Haraway's Cyborg Manifesto, the body is approached not as separate from nature or technology, but as a hybrid always entangled with its environment, land and the systems of power that shape both.

Independent projects have received support from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Câmara do Porto and the Shuttle programme. Work has been presented internationally — Porto, Barcelona, Tbilisi, Canada.

The practice draws on Erika Fischer-Lichte's aesthetics of the performative, Katy Deepwell's frameworks for feminist artivism, and Eugénia Vilela's work on body, resistance and abandonment — not as academic scaffolding, but as living references that inform how spaces for collective encounter are designed.
